Guanque Tower (Stork Tower), located in east bank of Huang River in the west of an ancient town Puzhou, Yongji City, Shanxi Province, is known as one of the four famous historic towers in ancient China.

The tower was built in Bei Zhou (A.D.557-581). The poets and the literates in Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty wrote many fabulous articles and poetries while visiting Guanque Tower for its unique and spectacular architectural style and the beautiful and impressive scenery around. One of the most famous poetries wrote by Wang Zhihuan, a famous poet in Tang Dynasty, is named On Guanque Tower: the sun behind the mountain sets, the Huang River seawards runs; more spectacular scenery, standing at upper storey. This article was and is famous in China and apoad. Guanque Tower experienced Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty, destroyed by war in Yuan Dynasty.

There was a stork magpie roosting above the tower, hence the name. Guanque Tower is the biggest Tang construction imitation at present in the country.Its outward appearance comprised of four eaves and three storeys with an overall height of 73.9 meters.

The total floor space is 33,206 square meters and the gross weight is 58,000 tons. The entire building was painted with color painting, which is also the art color painting of Tang Dynasty.
