Driving Hometown2009-12-10 17:35:00 From: livinchina.info
After ten days we will celebrate the Chinese new year of 2009. The most valueable thing is one ticket for backing home at now. During recent decade, the infrastructure of railway in China has been improved considerably. The open of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway mark the achievement of the railway construction of China. More and more CRHs are opened and make the distance between cities shorter and shorter. However, we can hardly get even one ticket before new year. Many people sleep in the ticket- hall and wait a whole day and night for the opening of ticket window, but as a result the first in the queue maybe cant get the ticket he wanted. Where do the tickets go?
Anyway! I will drive home this year, so I neednt worry about tickets. My hometown is Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi province, and it is 600km distant from Nanjing. With my driving speed C80km/hC and rest time, I would take 10 hours for the journey. My preliminary decision for starting date is Jan 17th. I will do a careful preparation such as GPS, road atlas, food and water. By the way, this will my first experience on highway alone. I must be back home safely. PS on Jan 17th: I have reached hometown safely as initial plan. Total time on the way is 9 hours. Total:1 Page: 1
