On August 24, journalists from the "2011 Tibet's Tour for China's key web media" will leave Lhasa for Xigaze. And they will visit Palkor Monastery and the Yamzhog Yumco Lake in Gyangze. 

Gyangze is a county in Xigaze prefecture, and it has a history of 600 years. What's more, Gyangze also has another name- the City of Hero! The Yamzhog Yumco Lake is one of Tibet's three holy lakes, and it is the biggest inland lake on the north side of the Himalayas. The lake has many tributaries which make it look like a coral tree, hence another name for the Yamzhog Yumco Lake-the Upper Coral Lake.
