A 12-meter work of Han embroidery, the longest in China, was displayed in Wuhan, Hubei province, on Monday. The embroidered scene depicts a festival of 112 people from 56 ethnic groups getting together and celebrating in their folk costumes. The artwork was made by more than 100 embroidery lovers over three years. In the past three years, Yang Xiaoting, a major contributor to the artwork, traveled to several provinces and regions such as Xinjiang and Tibet to seek inspiration. Han embroidery, which has a history of over 2,000 years, is among 10 major embroidery styles in China, as are Hunan embroidery and Suzhou embroidery. Total:1 Page: 1
