In performing the magic item Flying Spitball, the performer picks up a small piece of paper from the ground or the table with his right hand, crushes it up into a spitball and then transfers it from the right hand to the left. Suddenly, he makes a movement of tossing what's in his left hand upwards to the air, saying, Go! Then he opens his left hand and the spitball disappears. After that, he stretches out his right hand and makes a gesture of catching something, saying, Come! At this stage, he opens his right hand and the spitball is really in his right hand.
This magic item only requires a piece of small soft paper. In performance, the performer crushes the paper up into a spitball with his right hand and nips it with the thumb and the index finger. When making the movement of tossing what's in his left hand to his right hand, he bends the thumb and the index finger of the right hand towards his palm, secretly nips the spitball between the two fingers and then quickly opens his hand. His left hand is in a state of being ready to receive the spitball and falsely fisted. When raising his left hand and saying Go! he bends the thumb and the index finger of the right hand inwards to nip the spitball and then makes a movement of catching something from the air and says, Come! At this stage, when he opens his right hand, the spitball presents itself to the audience.
This magic is simple and it all depends on sleight of performances and hand movements. The eyes of the performer should follow the movement of his hands trickily so as to guide the audience's attention to make the magic a success.
