Application Form For ZUST Nationality Scholarship for Overseas Freshmen

APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO ZHEJIANG UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

In order to encourage more overseas students from different countries to study at Zhejiang University of Science and Technology(ZUST), the school has offered the Nationality Scholarship specially for outstanding overseas freshmen who will study at ZUST from 2009 to 2010, and the scholarship will be given to those who come from Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and Mongolia. The students who apply to study bachelor-degree program and who decide to learn the Chinese language are allowed to apply for the scholarship.

1. The scholarship includes:

Scholarship	Number	Amount
Half scholarship	2 for each above-mentioned countries	RMB 3250 Yuan
Partial scholarship	2 for each above-mentioned countries	RMB 1300 Yuan

  
Tips: The Nationality Scholarship for freshmen is only for overseas students in their first year in ZUST. That is to say, from the second year on, they have to afford their tuition all by themselves, or they can apply for other scholarships.

2. Who can apply for it?
1). They have to be students from Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and Mongolia.
2). They have to be under 30, and have graduated from high school or university. Study period for  Chinese language applicants should be at least an academic year.
3). They have to fit the standard of entering ZUST to study.

3. Application Materials:

3)  Passport copy
4)  Bank remittance receipt of application fee
5)  Other certificates or documents which can testify the excellence of the candidates

4. Application and approval:
1)  You can download the application form from the website http://ies.zust.edu.cn, or you can ask for it directly from the international office.
2)  ZUST will determine the list according to the issue date of the remittance receipt.
3)  Students, who obtain the scholarship, should register and pay tuition fee on time, or they are      
regarded as giving up the scholarship voluntarily. Students could not quit school without reasons in the awarding the scholarship, or the scholarship will be cancelled.
