1. Introduction to Scholarship
    This scholarship will be awarded to outstanding overseas students who achieved excellent results in their Chinese language test.

2. Ways of Applying
    The applicants should be recommended by the related organizationers and their application forms should be submitted to Hanban before March 20, 2007.

3. Application Materials
    The applicants should be qualified according to the basic requests regulated in 2 ways of Applying. The applicants should fill in their application forms truthfully and submit their Certificate of Chinese language Test and the related application materials. The applicants under 18 years old should include related legal documents of their guardian. These application materials should be sent to Hanban within the stipulated time by the organizers of the test. The materials will not be accepted if it arrives late. The materials provided by the applicants will not be returned whether they get the scholarship. 

4. Contents of the Scholarship
    This scholarship covers the tuition fees, cost for basic education materials, accommodations and other minor subsidizes. Applicants who will study for more than a term will have integrated medical insurance and some settlement subsidies. But the cost for their roundtrip traveling is shouldered by the applicants themselves.

5. Application Deadline
    Applications will be accepted until the end of April, 2007.

6. Enrollment of Applicants
a. Application materials provided by the applicants will be checked by Hanban. If the applicants are not qualified or application materials are incomplete, their application will be considered invalid and applicants will not be admitted.
b. Scholarship winners will be arranged into their assigned educational institutions or universities for study. The study period printed on the Letter of the Notice for the Enrollment.
c.The institutions or universities will send the roll of enrollment and the letters of notice for the enrollment to the related Chinese embassies or consulates before May, to the  addresses provided by Hanban. The applicants will get the materials from their corresponding embassies or consulates.

7. Registration and Check in
    Enrolled students should check in the school according to the stipulated dates. Anyone who might be late in checking should inform their school ahead of time. Otherwise the students will not be admitted for study in the school and their scholarships will be canceled.
