A delegation from University of Southern Maine, USA visited Ganzhou campus of JiangXi Univerysity of Science and Technologyon (JUST) April 3. Professor Wen Herui, vice president for outreach and international affairs of JUST met with the American guests. Dr. Joseph W. McDonnell, Dean, School of Management and Humanity Studies, USM, introduced the research and education of USM. Both parties aired their insights from the perspectives of staff exchange, academic exchange and "2+2"cooperation. MOU was signed to institutionalize the mutual cooperation.

The University of Southern Maine (USM) is a multi-campus public urban comprehensive university and part of the University of Maine System. USM's three primary campuses are located in Portland, Gorham and Lewiston in the U.S. state of Maine. As of 2008, USM had 8,133 undergraduate students and 2,320 graduate and law school students, with an average class size of 22 and a student-faculty ratio of 17:1.
