On the afternoon of April 14, China University of Geosciences (CUG) signed the university-city cooperation agreement with the government of Jingzhou City. In accordance with the agreement, both sides will focus on the deep cooperation in these areas, such as, the development of brine and tourism resources, water environment treatment in four lakes basin, the development of water resource, talent training and so on, which can provide strong support of talents and intelligence for the engineering of Jingzhou City.

CUG leaders, such as, Hao Xiang, Wang Yanxin, Ding Zhenguo, Cheng Jinhua, Hao Fang and leaders of Jingzhou City, such as, Li Xinhua, the Secretary of Jingzhou Municipal Committee, Shi Zheng, Wu Fangjun, Xu Chaoping and so on, attended the signing ceremony.

Hao Xiang, the Secretary of CUG Party Committee, delivered a speech. 

CUG president Wang Yanxin introduced the main content of cooperation. It mainly includes three aspects, that is, firstly, to develop and utilize all kinds of mineral resources well; secondly, to strengthen talent exchange in a two-way work; thirdly, to develop joint scientific research under the sharing of the interests.

Li Xinhua, the Secretary of Jingzhou Municipal Committee, gave his speech. He hoped that CUG could actively transform the scientific achievements into the actual productivity for the development of Jingzhou City and strengthen the cooperation and association with Jingzhou government at all levels.

Cheng Jinhua, vice president of CUG and Wu Fangjun, standing committee and deputy mayor of Jingzhou City, signed the cooperation agreement.

The group of Li Xinhua visited the State Key Laboratory of Geological Process and Mineral Resources and Fossil Wood, and exchanged with some related officers about technology connection, industry-university-research cooperation and so on.
