On the afternoon of March 31, the group of Cao Jianlin, vice minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, came to CUG ��China University of Geosciences��for investigation and heard the report on the delegation of the national GIS project center construction. An important speech was made.

So many leaders accompanied the investigation and attended the meeting, such as, Guo Shenglian, vice governor of Hubei Province, Zhao Yuhai, the secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Yang Xianwu, deputy secretary and so on.

In the hall of the first floor of Wuhan Zhongdi Digital Technology Co.,Ltd, Liu Yongxiang, CEO of the corporation, introduced the industry-university-research, social service and prizes. Later, the group of Cao Jianlin had an exchange meeting with CUG president Wang Yanxin, vice president Hao Fang, president of Faculty of Information Engineering Wu Xincai, and so on. 

On behalf of CUG, Wang Yanxin expressed warm welcome to the group of Cao Jianlin. Firstly, he briefly introduced the achievements of CUG in discipline construction, scientific research, basic research platform, talents training and then focused on reporting the preparation and condition of declaration the national GIS project center.

Cao Jianlin heard the report carefully and asked the condition about the research field of CUG GIS Project Center, industry-university-research, system and mechanism. Wang Yanxin, Wu Xincai and so on gave specific explanations.

Cao Jianlin spoke highly of the great achievements and contributions of CUG. He hoped that to provide much better technology support for the development of GIS Project Center, the Center should further strengthen cooperation, establish collaborative innovation mechanism, and improve cooperation communication and resource sharing with different professional area units.
