A project titled "the comprehensive technology of sulfur, gold and iron out of low grade gold-bearing sulfide ore" was awarded the second prize by the Ministry of Education. The project was headed by Professor Luo Xianping from Faculty of Resources and Environmental Engineering, JiangXi University of Science and Technology. On the basis of clean production mechanism and ecological industry concept, this project aims to promote resource utilization efficiency and reduce pollution emission. It integrates a series of key technologies, such as sulfur process out of low concentration waste acid activation pulp, deep desulfurization acid by flotatating sulfur concentrate roasting. This new technology has been practiced in 6 companies with the total profit attaining 749 million RMB.
