The Confucius Institute at Presbyterian College administered HSK Test and YCT test on March 17th and March 24th, 2012. Students from Presbyterian College, Bob Jones University, Greenville Christ Church Episcopal School, Greenville Tech Charter High School, Greenville Middle College Charter High School, and Spartanburg Charter School took the tests.

Much more students from Upstate of South Carolina took HSK and YCT tests in different levels of proficiency at Presbyterian this year compared with the tests in 2011, which is a fruitful result of the successful promotion of Chinese programs by the Confucius Institute. This is just one of the first steps in a long journey toward increasing interest and understanding of Chinese culture and language at Upstate of South Carolina. If the students�� results meet the standard requirements, they will receive certificates acknowledging their level of expertise in the language, which will be very useful in the future when looking for jobs or planning for graduate school.
