On May 19, 2012, it was clear with breeze and shining sun in Poland, when Students from primary and high schools were flying kites organized by Confucius Institute at Adam Mickiewicz University. Since 12 o'clock, students from primary and high schools gathered together in groups at a lawn of Malta Lake, famous sights of Poznan, with the traditional Chinese kites they made themselves at the lectures of Kite Festival by Confucius Institute at Adam Mickiewicz University. They flied beautiful kites one after another in soft breeze. Lv Tiezhi, renown traditional Chinese kite artist and delegate of Inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, now holding traditional Chinese kite festival at Confucius Institute at Adam Mickiewicz University, came to Malta Lake to join in the kite flying with students. Miss Cai Meiling, Polish teacher, came as instructor. Many parents came with their children. With the help of their parents and teachers, students came to have a mastery of essentials and skills of kite flying, and there were colorful kites flying in the blue sky without any cloud. They flying their kites, together with their dreams. Some students from other cities like Lodz also came to the kite flying in Poznan, which lasted to 4 pm. Confucius Institute distributed reward to outstanding ones. Then followed a group picnic. Project partners of the kites festival are Royal Court of Castle Cultural Centre, University of 50 +, SPOT Foundation, and POSiR o /Malta, with Patrons of WTK TV, Radio Mercury, Pro Arte.
