SAN FRANCISCO, May 18 (Xinhua) -- Visiting Chinese Tibetologists held a seminar on Friday with scholars at Stanford University, exchanging views on the development of Tibet. The Chinese scholars, including recognized specialists in Tibet studies from the China Tibetology Research Center and Minzu University of China, briefed scholars at the U.S. university on the protection, inheritance and innovation of Tibetan culture and heritage as well as other topics, Zhang Yun, head of the delegation, told Xinhua after the seminar. The Chinese Tibetologists also answered questions from their U.S. counterparts as to how local people are interacting with the temples in Tibet, said Zhang. The U.S. scholars showed great interest in the presentations by the Chinese delegation members and the seminar was a highly interactive event, according to Zhang. San Francisco Bay Area was the first stop of the Chinese scholars, who are scheduled to visit other U.S. cities. Total:1 Page: 1
