The Blue Night2012-6-11 17:15:00 From: http://english.hanban.org
Nuremberg, May 19th, 2012--The city of Nuremberg hosted the annual festival, the Blue Night, which was a grand gathering lit by azure streetlights. The ancient squares and buildings of this historic city were thriving between the real and the intriguingly illusory in azure light. Under the dreamy blue light, various associations, organizations and clubs offered up unique flair for the audience. The Confucius Institute in Nrnberg-Erlangen presented itself for the event. At the building of Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) Nuremberg in the heart of the city, the Institute together with YMCA Nuremberg launched activities with Chinese characteristics, such as Tai Chi lessons, calligraphy showcase, language courses, Chinese Chess, and Guzheng (Chinese zither) performances among other things which enchanted visitors. At the Chinese Chess workshop, visitors were curious and eager to learn about the way of playing Chinese chess. After learning about the rules from teachers, they couldn't wait to start the game with teachers, like a fledgling learning to fly. Regardless of winning or losing, they all seemed have so much fun. On the ground, the people old and young were practicing Tai Chi. Experiencing the slow movements and natural breath of Tai Chi, they sweated it up, just like going to a gym. Participants could not help praising Tai Chi with its fluid movements and strong effect. Under the azure light and immersed in music, visitors experienced unusual fantasy and serenity through Chinese language courses, calligraphy showcase and Chinese characters. Total:1 Page: 1
