On June 9 and June 12, 2012, Confucius Institute at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poland invited Beijing Han Feizi Shadow Puppetry Company to present two spectacular experiencing cultural lectures on traditional Chinese Peking Opera and shadow puppetry for students from Confucius Institute and Faculty of Sinology, and other Polish friends learning Chinese language and culture.

Peking Opera and shadow puppet are one of representatives of traditional Chinese cultures, but in Poland few people know well about Peking Opera and shadow puppet, and the general cultural lectures cannot help them understand these profound traditional Chinese arts. So Confucius Institute at Adam Mickiewicz University combines the lecturing about practical show of the arts and personal experiencing at the lectures aiming at enabling Polish friends touch traditional Chinese cultures and arts closer.

Han Feizi, Playwright, Han Chi, artistic director, and Qi Yongheng, Wang Xuehua, Han Xing and Zhang Shaohua, renown Peking Opera and shadow puppetry actors, as well as Sarah Oppenheim, renown French director, provided the joint experiencing cultural lectures on Peking Opera and shadow puppetry by Confucius Institute at Adam Mickiewicz University.

The way of lectures in which renown actors from Peking Opera and shadow puppetry company gave overall lecturing combined with personal experiencing the charm of Peking Opera and shadow puppet was warmly welcomed by the audience and the lectures were very active and well remarked.

The lectures on Peking Opera and shadow puppetry were held for purpose of Peking Opera and shadow puppetry show by Confucius Institute at Adam Mickiewicz University. Confucius Institute at Adam Mickiewicz University will continue the endeavor of further promotion of Chinese culture exchange, and further expansion of compact of Confucius Institute.
