May 30th, 2012 - Guest Chinese language teachers dispatched to Confucius Institutes in Thailand arrived in Thailand and they were treated with a grand Welcoming Ceremony & Training Meeting on the ensuing day jointly held by Hanban's Representative Office in Thailand and the Commission on Higher Education of the Ministry of Education in Thailand.

On June 1, 2012, the Confucius Institute at Kasetsart University and the Sinology Department of Kasetsart University held a warm Welcoming Ceremony for the guest teachers. Noppakao Sirintrano, Director of the CI, Kittithon Yongpraphat, Director of the Sinology Department, Kanokporn Numthong, Director of the Language Center of Kasetsart University and teachers of the Sinology Department attended the Ceremony. The guest teachers immediately felt the warmth of the CI and exchanged views on friendly terms with hospitable Thai teachers. Both sides indicated that going forward, they will make available more complete Chinese language courses and rich cultural activities to meet demands of students of different levels and make the work at the CI more excellent and satisfactory.

On the same day, the CI convened its first working conference of the new semester in 2012. It's reported that the CI will open on June 11 and for now, teaching work on all fronts has been on track since early-June.
