Starting July 3, 2012, the Confucius Institute at the Ateneo de Manila University shall be providing Business Chinese language training to the employees of SyCipGorresVelayo& Company (SGV & Co.),the Philippines' largest multidisciplinary professional services firm. This will be the second time that it will cooperate with the company.

SGV& Co. employs over 3,100 professionals from various disciplines delivering value-added services to over 6,000 esteemed clients.For this upcoming Business Chinese language training program, a total of 100 employees will be participating. Half of them were previous students that are continuing to a higher level.After undergoing written and oral assessment of their skills, the students were divided in to five levels: Business 2A, Business2B, Business 3, Business 4, and Business 5.

With the fast development of China's economy, trade relationships between China and the other countries have grown tremendously. Therefore,numerous companies have chosen to cooperate with Confucius Institute, which has become a center of Chinese language and culture overseas.Through these training programs, the Confucius Institute plays an important role in the future of the country, as it helps bridge the language and cultural gap between local companies and China.
