The experience of living and studying in China2012-7-26 15:06:00 From: http://cis.chinese.cn
The experience of living and studying in China has proved to be culturally enriching. Chinese culture is deeply intertwined with Chinese language. Learning Chinese is not only learning the language, but also getting in contact with a fascinating and complex world. The improvement of our language skills has proved to be an important asset, since it opened new doors to Chinese culture, ranging from typical music to regional cuisines. Studying Chinese and living in China has been a challenging and a pleasant experience. From an institutional perspective, this program has the potential to deepen the ties between Brazil and China, as more Brazilian diplomats will be able to communicate in fluent Chinese. Learning Chinese will not only foster our bilateral relationship, but also pave the way for more dynamic channels of communication. Brazil and China are strategic partners that share many interests and common goals. The program and the teaching method of Beijing Language and Culture University are both excellent. The contents are appropriate and the teachers highly qualified. Moreover, the university's personnel have shown efficiency and kindness in every situation they were requested for and the environment provided by the university had a positive influence in our learning process. For future programs, we would like to suggest a greater number of extracurricular activities on Chinese culture and history, such as lectures. These kind of activities help to consolidate and to contextualize the content learned during the course and also provide a better understating of the country. Finally, we would like to thank the Chinese National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (Hanban) and the Confucius Institute for this opportunity to learn and improve our Chinese language skills in the Beijing Language and Culture University. Best regards, Eduardo Figueiredo Siebra, Joao Eduardo Gomide de Paula, Johnny Shao Chi Wu, Pedro Henrique Batista Barbosa, Pedro Luiz do Nascimento Filho Total:1 Page: 1
