The Tibetan wool weaving craft has a long history. Apron and carpet are most famous among products of the craft. The woven wool aprons commonly used by Tibetan people are called "bangdian" in Tibetan. They can serve decoration and cold proof purposes. Jedexoi Township in Konggar County in Lhokha of Tibet is a major producer of Tibetan aprons, so it enjoys the title "The hometown of bangdian". Gyangze County in Xigaze is a well-known land of carpet in Tibet. Gyangze carpet, Turkish carpet and Persian carpet are known as the three most famous carpets in the world. Tibetan carpets mainly include "sadian" (carpet for covering floors) and "kadian" (puff, a plush mat for coving cushions). By size, those larger than 18 square feet are called carpet, and the others are called "kadian". Gyangze is extolled as the "hometown of kadian" as kadians of Gyangze are most famous. Total:1 Page: 1
