On the afternoon of Martch 8th, CUG (China University of Geosciences) president Wang Yanxin  and other officers held a special discussion with some student representatives, trying to know the difficulties that students met in their life and hear the suggestions that students put forward for further strengthening and improving the teaching work of undergraduates.

With the theme of "talking the environment of growing up and school education from the perspective of students", more than twenty student representatives, combining with their own learning and growing up experience, put forward some specific suggestions, such as, to improve ways and methods that introduce freshmen to adapt to college life; help students to adpat to the college life as soon as possible; and lead them to take a correct attitude towards leanring, grasp scientific learning methods to lay a good foundation and so on.

Wang Linqing, the director of  Department of Students' Work and Yang Lun, the director of  Department of Teaching Affairs, respectively answered students'questions about teaching and teaching management and expressed that they would take the suggestions seriously and correct the inadequacy to provide better conditions for learning and development.

Wang Yanxin made a speech. He spoke highly of students' sense of responsibility, sense of ownership and two hopes, one is that students should cultivate their spirits and aimed at being talents; the other is that students should value their youth and strengthen to learn self-management, work hard, make efforts to achieve the target of school's talents training.
