A workshop of Tai Chi Fan is recently taken place in Holy Cross Primary School, England. Nearly a hundred pupils take part in the exercise sessions. Tai Chi fan, which is popular in China, is classified as a martial art. It uses slow stretching movements to produce a sense of well being and relaxation. Tai Chi fan is becoming increasingly regarded as an ideal form of exercise, not only for adults, but for children as well. Through these Tai Chi fan performances, children not only learned this exercise, but also had their interest in traditional Chinese art, more enthusiasm of the Chinese culture. Xiaoxiao and Rui's relationship with Tai Chi has grown simply from the training course provided by SSAT (The Schools Network) Confucius Institute. Bringing such a sense of enjoyment and accomplishment, it is now their dream to bring Tai Chi to as many people as possible in England. The class teacher held a very positive view that the children, from reception to Year 5, found the exercise rather amusing to do. "They are very curious and open about everything Chinese from the beginning - it is all very different and new for them. And after one session's workshop, now they've really got into it" School had a parents' time at the end of the day and all the parents were having a most enjoyable moment watching their kids practicing Tai Chi fans.
