Zhengzhou, May 30 (People's Daily Online) The 11th 'Experience Henan Online' event kicked off in Zhengzhou, Henan province on May 28, 2012. The theme of this event is "Understand China's historic civilization and experience central plains' new culture trend".

As Zhao Suping, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Henan Provincial Committee and head of Department of Publicity introduced, Henan province is one of the most important birthplaces for China's culture and is a vital province with culture resources. More than 20 dynasties had built its capital in Henan and in the eight ancient capitals in China, four were in Henan. Among the 300 major surnames in China, the roots of 170 are from Henan and in the recent years, many overseas Chinese came to Henan to find their ancestors. The organizer, the CPC Henan Provincial Committee and Henan people's government hope that through this event, people in China and even in the world can experience traditional Chinese civilization and Henna's culture and famous scenic spots online.

Firstly started in Henan, there have been ten successful serial events held in the past 10 years. Journalists from more than 60 major online media including People's Daily Online joined this time. In the coming one week, they will conduct interviews in seven cities including Zhengzhou, Anyang, Puyang, Kaifeng, Sanmenxia, Luoyang and Zhoukou.
