1. In what languages are the courses taught?
A: All courses are taught in English.
2. Who will teach the program?
A: All courses are taught by permanent fulltime faculty and visiting faculty. Currently we have 12 full time professors, all of whom hold PhD degrees from world-renowned universities. We expect to have 24 full time professors by fall 2009 and grow to 40-50 in the next few years.
3. How much will it cost to stay on campus? Can I live off-campus?
A: About 1,550 RMB per year for the dormitory on campus. International students are not allowed to live off-campus.
4. What are the minimum requirements to apply to the Business School?
A: The eligible applicants should meet the following requirements:
*Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent,
*Must be non-Chinese with valid foreign passport,
*Must have a proof of English proficiency with a satisfactory TOEFL or IELTS score, if your bachelor's degree is not obtained from an English speaking country.
5. Does the School accept on-line application? How can apply?
A: No, the School does not accept on-line applications. All applicants must submit hard copies of their application forms and supporting documents.
6. How does the Admissions Committee assess candidates?
A: The Admissions Committee will select the applicants based on their overall qualifications, which include their interview performances.
7. When can I receive the interview notification?
A: The Admissions Committee will notify the applicants in late March 2009.
8. How will the interview be conducted?
A: The Admissions Committee will interview the selected applicants either face to face or via telephone.
9. How long will it take for me to receive admission notice after the interview?
A: The Admissions Committee will notify the applicants of its admission decision by May 2009. Admission notice and visa application forms will be sent shortly after.
10. Are GMAT, GRE, TOEFL and IELTS required for application?
A: The teaching language of the Business School is English. If the applicant earned a bachelor's degree in an English speaking country, English language requirements may be waived. Otherwise, applicants need to show satisfactory scores of TOEFL or IELTS. The applicant may also submit GRE, GMAT scores for reference.
11. Is there a minimum TOEFL/IELTS score requirement for the application?
A: There are no requirements for minimum TOEFL/IELTS scores. Generally speaking, successful applicants are expected to score 80 or above in Internet-based TOEFL, or 6 or above in IELTS with no less than 5.5 in each section.
12. How much is the application fee? What forms of payment are acceptable?
A: The application fee is non-refundable 800 RMB. Only RMB is accepted.
13. What is the tuition, and how can I pay it?
A: The tuition fee for international students is 120,000 RMB for two years. Students need to pay 60,000 RMB at the beginning of each academic year.
14. Can I apply for scholarship or any financial assistance?
A: Yes, you may apply for scholarships offered by the Chinese Government, Peking University and HSBC School of Business. For the more information, please visit:

15. Can I receive other financial aids while I study at school?
A: Yes, students may find at the Business School the following funding opportunities: research assistantships, teaching assistantships, or English teaching assistantships. During the summer and winter breaks, students may also find additional funding from corporate internships.
16. Do I need to submit official transcripts in my native language?
A: Official transcripts must be submitted in English.
17. Q: Do I need to provide an emergency contact?
A: Yes. If you do not have any relatives or friends in China that you can list as emergency contacts, you may list your embassy or consulate instead.
