We are a new British University College based in Shanghai. A range of Business and Engineering courses are available, taught entirely in English by predominantly British Professors. Degree certificates are available from a range of 9 prestigious British Universities. International applicants who are native English speakers (or have performed well in International Baccalaureate or A Levels) may study for just 3 years and receive their Bachelors Degree in Shanghai (or 4 years if they need to take the English International Foundation Year). Alternative pathways including 1 or 2 years in China and the remainder at the UK campus (UK fees would apply in UK ).

The tuition fee for International Students in Shanghai is RMB 80,000 per year (plus living cost). Two scholarships worth 10% of tuition fee will be made available to the most qualified female and male student from each country.

The Sino-British College (SBC) was granted its licence in 2006 to offer British degrees taught in English at its flagship campus - envisioned as the "Model Campus of Learning" �C established at the Fuxing Campus of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. Known as " Shanghai 's British University College ", SBC is rapidly developing as a centre for innovation in academic teaching methods and positioning itself to become a world leader in sino-foreign research collaboration. Built almost a century ago, SBC has a truly unique campus with classical European architecture, located right at the heart of the French Quarter of Shanghai. The buildings include German, French and British design features, and the campus gardens are maintained with a combination of Chinese and European balance. Ever since these buildings were built, the campus has been a place of distinguished learning and research. From this home its academic community is making increasing key contributions to the economic and social well-being of the local community, and will undoubtedly have a growing impact on Shanghai city and the nation.

Number of students: 1,673 students as of Autumn 2009 including 720 undergraduates studying the foundation year, and 953 undergraduates studying bachelors degree programmes.

Gender Balance: 48 % female and 52 % male (Autumn 2009).
